Demolition Man: Renovation Style

Our current master bath / laundry room combo (Yes, a master bath / laundry room combo!) . . .

is on it’s way out! Hooray!

Saturday, MacGyver became our demolition man. He did most of the demolition himself, with Daddy talking him through the process and teaching him how to use all of the tools safely. Boys and their power tools!

Just had to include a photo of his demolition outfit. Camouflage shorts with rubber boots. Gotta love it!

MacGyver removed cabinets, bead-board, wall paper, nails and hardware. He was moving so fast, it was hard for me to snap pictures. He enjoyed every second of his demolition day. What’s more fun on a Saturday afternoon than using tools to tear apart a room?!

Better him than me! So glad Daddy has a new assistant!

So have your kids demolished anything lately? Planned or unplanned!

We bought a little home built in 1952, on a big lot, in a great neighborhood: Follow our never ending HGTV episode!

We’ve got a home from ’52 as well and I am very familiar with the never ending home improvement! I too am thrilled to pass on demolition duties to my sons. They love to help Papa.

I love all your hgtv updates! We bought a home that was foreclosed on and sat empty for a year before we purchased it. We got a great deal but there are TONS of projects to be done. Right now I should be in the basement scrapping adhesive off a floor but I’d rather be reading blogs. Looks like MacGyver is going to be a good handyman!
