UFO Sighting

Post image for UFO Sighting

Recently, there have been a series of UFO sightings in our backyard!

This probably looks like a big pile of trash to you. Wrong! At our home, a pile of construction trash equals the construction of a UFO.

Since we are in the process of remodeling and adding onto our home, the construction guys leave behind a plethora of building materials. Consequently, this pile of trash is a never ending supply of project materials for the kiddos.

Blast OFF !

Coming in for a safe landing.

A couple of weeks ago, I highlighted our homeschool store and MacGyver’s endeavor to save for a laptop. Update – Last week MacGyver earned the last of his $300.00 for his laptop. Now he is the proud owner of his very own laptop.

HOWEVER, I am not much of a,  “Go play on your computer / wii,” kind of Mommy. I’m much more of the, “Go outside and play,” kind of Mommy. I believe kids need time to be FREE to explore their world and to experience life rather than, “play life on a computer or T.V.”

And yes the UFO can really fly. MacGyver worked on the design adding a tail and some weight in just the right place to make it fly the way he wanted. Even Daddy had to get in on the action over the weekend.

I’m a proud “go outside and play” Mommy!

What outside play are your kiddos up to these days?

That is a cool UFO! Our yard is still covered in snow, so every morning my kids go outside to play with their “jewelries” as they call the ice crystals!

Our boys love to go to the creek we have in the woods behind our house and “fish” for tadpoles and fish. Last year they even tried selling them! They haven’t found any fish yet this year, but they have brought some tadpoles home.
