How about serving-up some heart shaped pancakes this Valentine’s Day. My kiddos thought I was immensely talented when I surprised them with heart shaped pancakes.
But they’re actually quite easy! You don’t need any special gadgets, griddles or molds. If you have a tablespoon you’re all set . . .
Use a tablespoon to make two small, touching circles.
You can see that you have the beginning of your heart.
Now use the backside of the tablespoon to pull the batter down into a point.
That’s it! When they’re nice and bubbly flip.
I can serve-up these heart shaped pancakes just as quickly as regular round pancakes. Again, my kiddos think I’m quite fantastic.
No time for breakfast on Valentine’s Day? How about breakfast for dinner? My children love when we do breakfast for dinner!
Animal pancakes, MacGyver, age 8
What started out as beautiful heart shaped pancakes, quickly turned into animal pancakes! MacGyver used his fruit to make a bull’s face.
Animal Pancakes, Miss Enigma, age 5
Soon after Miss Enigma created a puppy. I love how my kiddos are always one step ahead of me!
Happy Valentines’ Day!
