Most of you have gotten to know my son MacGyver and fully understand the nickname. But for those of you who haven’t met MacGyver, this Transformer birthday card says it all!
Yesterday was our Man of Steel’s birthday. We keep birthdays pretty low-key when it comes to gifts and focus more on spending time together. MacGyver decided early on that he wanted to make his Daddy a special Transformer birthday card.
Daddy owns a UPS Store. MacGyver began the Transformer by making The UPS Store out of card-stock.
The store came complete with a U.S.A. flag and a UPS flag. Keep your eye on that Velcro UPS badge!
Inside the store the Transformer waits. Again, keep your eye on that little square of Velcro.
First out come the legs.
Next, out pops the head and arms.
MacGyver had me search for a photo of Daddy’s head that I could print for him. This is easier said than done as we don’t take many photos of each other. The kiddos yes. Us, not so much.
Viola, Transformer Daddy.
That UPS badge was originally on the top of the store flag. With the use of Velcro it can conveniently be moved from the flag onto Daddy’s UPS shirt.
We found this Transformer Daddy totally hilarious!
Daddy asked me, “Did you have anything to do with this?”
My response, “Are you kidding me. Do you think I could come up with something like that?!”
There you go, meet my son “MacGyver!”
