Since we’re Giving Away a Weather Book Pack in our at school section, I decided to give you a little sneak peek at the absolutely gorgeous Okaloosa Island . . .

I looooove storms over the ocean. During our family vacation to Okaloosa Island a beautifully breath-taking storm rolled-in. I’m not a professional photographer so I’m not sure these pictures capture all of the amazing colors that painted the sky and ocean: shades of green, blue, pink and silver. You’re welcome to join the kids as they play in the stormy weather. In the meantime, I’ll be busy dreaming of the beach . . .

Run, run as fast as you can . . . Run to the right . . .

Run to the left . . .

Run in a circle . . .

Chase Mommy . . .

Look to the East . . .

Look to the West . . .

Jump in the air . . .

One last look before we head inside to watch the rain . . .

Okaloosa Island is located about 10 minutes to the West of Destin, Florida. The same emerald water. The same sugar sand beaches. None of the Destin crowds. I’m little torn about sharing all of my family friendly, affordable beach finds with everyone. But when it comes to my love for the beach I just can’t keep my mouth shut! Consequently, I’ll be back with an expanded post about Okaloosa Island.

Until then check out our theme section: Ocean

You’ll find more information about planning affordable family beach vacations and FREE printable materials, books and lessons . . .

Don’t see what you’re looking for? Just keep scrolling down through the Ocean theme page . . .
