Part of our homeschool curriculum includes learning how to cook. If you haven’t noticed, I’ve been trying to work myself out of a job. I’m sneaky that way. Lucky for me the kiddos love to cook. By the time we’ve finished breakfast, we’ve already incorporated reading, following directions, measurement, cooperation, sharing and cleaning-up. Can we just stop and take the rest of the day off?
If your kiddos are out the door and off to public school, our FREE printable breakfast recipe guides are easy for children to follow. They require minimal ingredients and cooking. I like smoothies when we are on the go because they can drink them in the car from here to there.
Good Morning Breakfast Smoothies

Ingredients:
- 1 cup plain yogurt
- 1 banana
- 1 12 oz package frozen mango chunks
- ½ cup juice (we like orange or pineapple)
- 2 tsp. agave
- *1 scoop protein powder
*I only use plain yogurt. I do not like the extra sugar in flavored yogurts.
* You can adjust the sweetness to taste. We also use stevia and honey as natural sweeteners.
* My kiddos are healthy little eaters who don’t like to eat much meat. We add a scoop of vanilla protein to boost their diet.
