Sisters, Sisters . . .

Two different faces,

but in tight places we think and act as one  .  .  .

Sisters, Sisters, White Christmas, 1954

We are sisters who grew-up in two different generations, living two very different lives.  One of us spent afternoons with Leave it to Beaver, while the other shared “Sunshine Days” with the Brady Bunch. One of us was Close to You with the Carpenters while the other experienced what it sounds like When Doves Cry with Prince. (For the record, Joyce has no idea what it sounds like when the doves cry.) One of us stayed put and raised her family in small town America, while the other took a detour and enjoyed the big city life before finding her way back home to our quaint Texas town. Oddly enough, despite these differences we’ve always been extremely close.  . .

And since one of us is undiagnosed ADHD (because schools didn’t do that kind of testing “way back when”) we’ll just stop here. It is very difficult for us to stay on task!

I am so happy to find you!! I just sent you a message on facebook through Cartwright’s page. The last 3 years have brought some big changes in my life…can’t wait to reconnect. This site is adorable! I am still teaching in CFB…this is my 6th year at Kent teaching 1st grade. Tomorrow night is the 20th anniversary celebration of Kent. What a day that will be because open house is before the celebration. I received you precious Christmas cards with your adorable family…I just kept misplacing the address…and life was a bit chaotic. I’ll explain!
