Inspiring Garden Field Trips: Antique Rose Emporium

Post image for Inspiring Garden Field Trips: Antique Rose Emporium

We’re continuing with our gardening theme this week. Join us on a family field trip to The Antique Rose Emporium in San Antonio, Texas. During the spring and summer the roses are in breathtaking full bloom. This is one of my favorite gardens to visit for inspiration. The children love our visits to the rose gardens because the adventure goes far beyond roses. There are ponds and paths for wandering and exploring and animals for petting . . .

Oops! How did that photo of my backyard vegetable garden get mixed in here? So, did I fool anyone? Anyone?

Goodbye! Time to load up our plants!

Can’t make it to San Antonio? They ship! God ahead take a peak at their Earth-Kind, Pioneer and old roses, not the fussy modern hybrids that are difficult to grow.

This makes me want to do I garden tour when we come back to Texas for a visit! Do you think everything will still be blooming in June?
