Book of the Week: Let It Fall by Maryann Cocca – Leffler
Why we love this book:
Fall is on its way. “Mounds of color, raked up high – Jump right in and watch the sky.” Time for raking leaves, a chilly gusty breeze, apple picking, mountain air and the County Fair. The soft water color art introduces the changing color of the leaves and children enjoying outdoor scenes.
Grab your water colors and join the children as they paint their way into fall . . .

I See Fall Leaves
(FREE printable book at end of post)
Step One: Draw Leaves For Each Page
- Miss Enigma studied a very simple leaf.
- I once again, showed her how to draw a line and then draw each side of the leaf.
- Miss Enigma drew her leaves with a black Sharpie marker.
Step 2: Paint Leaves with Fall Colors
- She only painted 4 pages the first day.
- Miss Engima wanted to paint ALL of the pages, but I thought 4 was plenty for one day!
Miss Enigma, “This is my favorite! I love how I did the red, orange and yellow colors.”

My fav thing about fall is the crisp weather and the changing leaves. Living in TX we don’t get much of these things. I miss the East coast autumns.
My favorite thing about fall is Halloween!
I love everything about fall! The weather, the smell of the leaves, and the beautiful colors against blue skies. Also pumpkins and Thanksgiving!
I love the crisp autumn air and the brilliant bursts of colours!
Actually, now that I’ve moved from Toronto, Canada, to here in the San Francisco Bay Area, I miss the aforementioned things
I love the Chinese Mid-Autumn Festival though with the yummy mooncakes.
I love the cooler weather and the beautiful fall colors!
I love that the weather is cool enough for weenie roasts!
“Hey,” We’re flexible around here.
What is there not to love about the fall? I love the pumpkin patch, playing football in the yard, roasting marshmallows for smores, creating Halloween costumes, and not worrying about snakes when we’re in the woods. Content sigh. Really, I love everything about fall. (But I love the other seasons just the same for their own special reasons!)
My favorite thing about fall is the beautiful colors in the leaves of the trees. Around where we live, it is simply spectacular! I also love when it gets cold enough to curl up with blankets in the afternoon!
My favorite thing about fall…I love all the holiday candles and scents that come out and of course getting to wear those sweaters again!
I can hear the High School band practicing as I sit here working. This time of year always reminds me of High School and football season.Fun memories.
