Book of the Week GIVEAWAY: Under My Hood I Have a Hat by Karla Kuskin

Why we love this book:

We’ve started a tradition here at waddlee-ah-chaa, every January we GIVE AWAY this sweet winter book. The text is a simple rhyming chant, taking children through the steps of getting dressed for snowy, winter weather. Children love the sing-song pattern, the colorful pictures and the main character. However, the girl’s little dog, who helps her get dressed and sips tea, is the real show stealer in this book. The children just love that little dog. Under My Hood I Have a Hat opens the door to many winter weather learning activities.

In addition to this week’s Book GIVEAWAY, we also have a FREE printable mittens book and letter activities . . .

perfect timing! I do the list thing. only problem is I lose the lists! Sometimes I take out my journal and whine. yup – I write down how “I hate it, I hate it, I hate it!” (having to do all this stuff) and “I don’t wanna” I just have my little private journal tantrum! then I usually can get to work. I do this less and less and more and more I find I go somewhere quiet and meditate, do some self reiki or some floor stretching work. things tend to fall into perspective.

When I originally commented I clicked the “Notify me when new comments are added” checkbox and now each time a comment is added I get three emails with the same comment. Is there any way you can remove people from that service? Thank you!

Definitivamente Nalbandian es uno de pocos los jugadores que puede ganar a Nadal y Federer, es bueno que venga con todo y este prontamente en el top 10… quizá le faltó la constancia que tienen Nadal y Federer y ya tendria un grand slam…

I think differently. I don’t think a monk is one who live homelessness life, content with saffron robes and alms-food, eliminate needs and desires, and dwell in secluded place like forest or root of tree.I think Monk is just result of spirit that didn’t see any meaning of the civilzation(in fact – illusion). The one who seek to see the truth.

Pas besoin de décortiquer les planches pour être vraiment gêné par ces fautes grossières… Autant l’orthographe on comprend encore le sens, mais lorsqu’il manque carrément un mot…

I find this very funny and interesting. I haven’t called my kids any nicknames but I’ll create for each one of them soon. Nice post! KUDOS for being freshly pressed.
