Educational Toy GIVEAWAY: IKEA TITTA DJUR Finger Puppets

Why we love these Finger Puppets from IKEA:

They’re cute! Ten come in a package, making them a bargain. When I saw this set of ten finger puppets, I knew I had to snag a set to put in hiding for Miss Enigma’s Easter Basket. Lucky you, I also snagged a set for one lucky winner.

IKEA Finger Puppets

The puppets are made of felt and include details like the lion’s fuzzy mane and the shark’s jagged teeth. I have no doubt in my mind that we will enjoy many creative puppets shows. These puppets will pair nicely with a book like Brown Bear, Brown Bear by Bill Martin Jr.  The characters in the book can easily be adapted to the included puppets. From there the sky’s the limited.

I like gifts and toys that spark creativity. Yeah, for a learning toy Easter Basket find!

The Coloring Book by Herve Tullet

Last week, I highlighted the amazingly creative The Coloring Book by Herve Tullet. What says Easter more than spring colors.? The Coloring Book  is also going into the kiddo’s Easter Basket this year.  With that in mind I thought I would share some of my Easter Basket Stuffer Ideas. There are several general categories that I begin searching for as spring approaches.

Hey, were flexible!

Hmm, I don’t do Easter baskets. I might send something to my mom – I’m thinking a box full of pinwheels will make her smile. She can prop them in the snowy banks of her yard until spring actually arrives in Northern MN! LOL

We are spoiled here in the South. Our weather is absolutely gorgeous this week. Planning on spending the day in the garden tomorrow!

Michelle and Stasia have you picked your books?
Yeah for books!

Our Easter baskets always have some candy, I’m afraid. Jelly beans and a chocolate bunny and chocolate eggs. I like the idea of putting books and educational toys in the basket, but I’ve never done that. We always read “The Country Bunny and the Little Gold Shoes” at Eastertime.
Happy Easter!

We haven’t really ever done Easter baskets (maybe this year!), but we always decorate Easter eggs at this time of year. These puppets look great!

Also, thanks again for the Amazon gift certificate. Our books arrived, and we love them! I already emailed to tell you what we ordered, but I also wanted to post the titles here. I highly recommend all of these books.

We got “Brother Sun, Sister Moon” by Katherine Paterson, “Rumpelstiltskin” by Paul O. Zelinsky, and “When Stella Was Very, Very Small” by Marie-Louise Gay. We read our new books often!
